Architecture begins long before a building is made.
It emerges through observation – of places, people, rituals, memories, landscapes, and the subtle ways in which we inhabit the world.
Architecture, Observed is a collection of essays, films and reflections exploring architecture as a way of seeing rather than merely a profession of building. Here, completed projects sit alongside unfinished thoughts, questions alongside answers, and personal observations alongside built work.
Some entries may discuss space and inhabitation. Others may wander into art, film, creativity, technology or everyday life. Together, they form an ongoing inquiry into how we perceive, make meaning, and find ourselves in the spaces between.
Not every observation arrives at a conclusion.
Some remain questions.
And perhaps those questions are worth observing too.

建筑并非始于图纸，也不止于建成之后的样貌。
它往往始于观察——观察一个地方的气息，一个人的生活习惯，一段记忆的停留，或人与环境之间那些难以言说的关系。
《建筑 · 观察》收录的是一些关于建筑，也关于建筑以外的思考。这里有项目背后的文字、未完成的想法、影像、随笔，以及一些仍在发生中的提问。
有些文章谈空间与居住，有些则延伸至艺术、电影、创造、科技与日常生活。它们看似分散，却都围绕着同一个兴趣：我们如何感知世界，又如何在其间安放自己。
并非所有观察都会得到答案。
有些观察最终成为问题。
而问题本身，或许也值得被观察。
